WOYWW - They're nearly here!

Hi :)

Welcome to another visit to my chaos... linking in to the other Deskers via Julia at Stamping Ground.

My family is arriving from Canada on Saturday.. my Mom, brother, sister in law, nephew and Fr Jack (My Mom's best friend and special part of our family). I've not seen them for quite a while now as they were supposed to come last year but plans changed.

I'm excited as this is the first time my brother and sister in law will be here.. and I've been living in England for 19.5 years now!

Anyway I digress.. here is the all important desk shot.

Close up view as it is still not tidy... but I have Friday off!
The most prominent thing on my desk is my lovely mini distress inks holder which I bought flatpacked from Candy Box Crafts. I had a great time decorating it with stencils and paste and I use it for a lot of essential things. I'll post you a better blog all about it in the near future :)

The stamps are new ordered from Pinflair... can't wait to try them out!

As you know, the biggest project has been trying to get the garden finished.. and we have mostly been successful.. as you can see here.

Lastly, no post is complete without a visit from my kitties... this week is Petal's turn :)

Petal trying out the new Astroturf

I may not be around much over the next two weeks... but you never know...

Sumbunneh hugs x

  2. Wonderful looking desk, Erika. It won't take much to get it in tip top shape before Saturday. And your yard and Petal look good, too. I am a bit envious, because England is on my bucket list. Hope your family enjoys it. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  3. What a great storage box, I love seeing hand decorated storage. I wasn't aware pinflair did stamps, may have to check that one out although I really shouldn't!

  4. Happy WOYWW. I love your decorated box. Would love to see inside. Your garden is fabulous. What a transformation. I really want a swim spa. We have a hot tub (inside, as we knew it wouldn't get used much outside!), but it is just a smallish 3 seater. I am off to use it now, to see if it helps ease my pain this morning. Ali x #8

  9. Hi Erika! I've lived here for 16 years myself and haven't had my brother visit either. It's always us going back home. That box looks lovely and will be very useful too to house your inks. Petal's hilarious - not at all camera shy! Have a happy week! zsuzsa #26

  15. I was surprised you had time to join in this week, and comment on mine and other blogs so a big big thank you from me. How exciting to be welcoming family from Canada and especially two who have never been before. Hope you have the best of times!
Love the picture of Petal she is beautiful, reminds me of my cat who I had for 19.5 years. She was fluffy like yours and the tussle we had in getting the knots out of her fur!!! She hated it - and I didn't particularly like it. LOL
Have a wonderful two weeks and see you when you have recovered.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Super shot of Petal on the Astroturf - she's a fluffy ball of fur. The turf looks so perfect ... I wonder if bugs and beetles will take occupation in due course! I love your decorated box, looks really cool, I've been decorating flat pack storage too, for paints, got mine from Tando. Thanks for giving me the name "Bug Station" I will definitely be calling it that from now on! Love the kitty pic, Petal looks so content, in that way only cats can :o) Annie C #18
