WOYWW - III - A Whole Lot of Paws!

Wow.. so.. here we are again Crafters and Bloggers.. Wednesday!! Time certainly flies when you are having fun :)

Brrrr it is -5C this morning in Andover, UK!!

The Blue Kindness card from last week has hopefully arrived.. so now we patiently wait until 21st January (well next Wednesday) so I can show you what I made.

But on to this week... and here is my desk.. as taken last night:

A whole lot of paws!
Going from left to right, you will see some marbled card which my friend and I made on Saturday... she wanted to learn about foam and spray ink.. and as it is my favourite thing to do I was more than happy to show her.

In the background you will see pink/red marble background that she made with black paste butterflies.. she left it behind for me to turn into a valentines card.. which I will play with soon.

Centrally is my newest project.. and I am attempting to use up all the stamps on my desk for a very special card. Unfortunately I can't tell you all about it yet.. but the Paws in the circles are a sneak peek for you.

I've also just received a commission for two cards.. which I hope to make tonight/Thursday at craft group so I can mail them out on Friday.

I hope you have all had a good week... I will be around to visit when I can :)

Ps.. now that I am enjoying blogging, I thought that you would like to meet my 3 furbabies...

Petal is 9 and we think she has used up most of her 9 lives. She currently has a paw that has no feeling due to a neurological injury she suffered when she was hit by a car in October... we are still grateful to the lady who hit her for picking her up and rushing her to the vet... we would have last her had she not made it to the vet so quickly. Petal is still very much the boss cat.

Biscuit (known mostly as Kitty) is 3 and a very chunky girl.. we did try to diet her but she went on a week long hunger strike refusing to eat the diet food.. to the point that she was lifeless... now we let her eat what she wants (within reason).

Jasper (JazzyCat) is 2 and is a very sweet, gentle little boy. His favourite thing is to pick up his toys in his mouth and race around the house at full speed until he is panting for breath... it's too cute.

=^.^=

Jasper (JazzyCat)

Biscuit (Kitty)

Petal (3 legged boss cat)

  2. Happy WOYWW. Lots of fab craftiness on your desk. Your cats are gorgeous. We have a big old tabby out on the farmyard called Tiger - the friendliest cat ever. Our housecat, Milky, rules everyone and is very spoilt. We nearly lost her after she was hit by a car back in 2010. She has pins in one leg and gets some pain because of that. Ali x #7

  6. I really enjoyed meeting your fur children - all so beautiful. We had a 3 legged cat, Wobbly Hobbes, a beautiful ginger girl. We found her by the side of the road, turns out she had been shot & to save her life they needed to amputated her left arm as the bullet had made quite a mess. We adopted her & she was the fastest kitty in the house on 3 legs. Intrigued to see what the kitty paws will be. ... Mary-Lou #26

  7. Hi Erika, oh my, I love your furbabies! Never met a cat I didn't love. Hopefully, now I have a surgery date, we will be adopting a cat or two when I come home. We too used to have a 3 legged ginger tom, he lost one back leg to an infection from a rat bite. Never made the slightest difference to him at all. Looking forward to seeing the finished card, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

  12. Your cats are beautiful! I can relate to your youngest cat - my Inky (3 yrs old) does that too, except up and down the stairs. Her favourite toy right now is the laser beam light - she meows for it every night! My Penny is now 17 years old, and is the boss cat. She is also overweight, but it really doesn't matter - we love her anyway! Your desk looks very intriguing with all those kitty prints - can't wait to see the end result! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #47

I like your desk, lots of lovely stuff on it to look at. The paw prints are intriguing. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #21

  22. Love your projects, Erika, and a lovely creative space too. Your kitties are all so beautiful! And so different, too. We have two grey tabby girls (Beatrice, the older one, now 16, is definitely the boss cat and alway has been) - both are getting on a bit now and have health issues. They rule the roost and my hubby and I are definitely cat slaves...

Thank you for your lovely comment - but what a temptress you are, enticing me into an exciting new project when I should be concentrating on my UFOs lol lol!! The trouble with UFOs is they are like dust in the house - no, they are not going anywhere, but the longer you leave them, the more they increase!! I may not be able to resist the temptation to start the mini-books... My tooth is a lot better today, thank goodness, and I'm just hoping it doesn't flare up again and won't need taking out!

I love them so much and depend on them a lot for friendship when my husband travels...my tabby looks like your Petal and just talks 90 miles an hour to me. Skiddy is a calico, and Ghost is solid white. Maybe I will post pictures next week of the girls! Sorry I am so late getting around but...I made it!!!
